Delays, Cancellations and Closings

Fitness First Health Clubs schedules delays and closings of certain services according to the county school systems. Each individual club location, follows the schedule for the county which it is located, however we do not close individual club locations when schools are closed. If we decide to close a club because of inclement weather, this decision is made on a club-by-club basis, depending on local weather conditions.

To avoid a large volume of phone calls, we ask that you not call us to check school closings and delays. Please use the resources on this page or tune into your local television or radio station.

Social Media and SMS Alerts

Fitness First posts all weather related notices on our news page, mobile web app and Facebook account.

We also have a free, opt-in text messaging system which will send an SMS message to your mobile phone, notifying you of any necessary closing or important news alert.

Group Exercise Classes: delays & cancellations

If county schools are delayed // no morning classes (classes begin at 12 noon, where applicable)
If county schools are closed // no morning classes (morning and noon classes cancelled - late afternoon and evening classes are reassessed by 3pm)
*Call the club for evening class schedule

Childcare Services: delays & cancellations

If county schools are delayed 1 hour // childcare opens 1 hour late
If county schools are delayed 2 hours // childcare opens 2 hours late
If county schools are closed // childcare is closed

Additional Closings

If for any reason your particular club is closed due to weather related issues, or for scheduled improvement of the club facilities, all members, including exclusive memberships, are encouraged to use any other club location while their club remains closed.
