Fitness First's all new personal training program not only designs a customized and balanced training program, but also educates you how to become self sufficient. Fitness First certified personal trainers partner with you one-on-one to ensure you understand how to maintain an effective and smart exercise program.

Our personal training programs are structured to help prevent a person from reaching a plateau. While a personal training program does involve some investment, it is knowledge a person can take and keep forever.

I joined Fitness First about one year ago, with a goal of losing weight and getting fit. At age 50 and seriously out of shape, I had no idea where to start. I wanted a personal trainer to get me started on the right track. Now, I am 40 pounds lighter and feel great. I have gone from a size 20 to 14 and can shop in “normal people” stores. Fitness First at Flower Hill has everything that I need in order to stay motivated and on track. The trainers know their job, and have been able to design a program for me that is challenging but suited to my physical ability. The workout varies from day to day and week to week so that I don’t get bored. I work with my trainer twice a week and take classes whenever I can, at least 3-4 times a week. If I can’t fit a class into my schedule, I just use the treadmill or elliptical to get an aerobic workout. I have been a member at other fitness centers where I paid a lot more, but I have never been as satisfied as I am at Fitness First. I am moving to Germantown this summer, but plan to keep attending the Flower Hill Gym, where the staff and members are friendly and supportive of all members.

The training program at Flower Hill Fitness First has really improved my  strength and overall health   As a middle aged woman who had let herself go, my trainer stays right with me, spots me, counts with me, times me and just plain encourages me through the custom workout he has developed for me.  Though I only work with him for 30 minutes two times a week, I see and feel the results of the workout he prepared for me. As easy at it could be to skip working out, I always look forward to my sessions with Tom, because I know he is going to work me hard and help me reach new physical goals!

Lately, I've heard so many compliments about how great I look. Thanks to great training programs and friendly staff at Fitness First. My trainer is always encouraging, supportive and very patient with me so I can reach my fitness goals. Not only that he's always there to answer my questions with detailed answers so it'd be easier for me to follow his instructions . Now that I've been in personal training at Fitness First for about 10 months, I think it is probably the most efficient way to be fit and to lose weight. I have been a member of Fitness First since November 2009 and I could not be happier. When I decided to take my fitness and health to the next level I joined their personal training program.

I signed up for 2 days a week for 1 year. I could not be happier. I have had the pleasure of working with both Emanuel O. and Sean C. Their training methods are completely different, but both push you to your next level.

There are some medical issues that I have and both of them take the time to tailor the exercise sessions me and my special needs. I am nothing but encouraged and motivated to move on and to continue on my fitness journey.

I've been working with Sean, one of the trainers at Fitness First Germantown, for about 8 months.  My trainer has been a great motivation for me in my weight loss goals.  He pushes me during our training sessions, and I've accomplished things physically that I never thought I would be able to.  I'm able to use the exercises he teaches me during my personal workouts during the week, making my entire exercise regimen more effective.  I've lost weight. I have come to love the personal training program at Fitness First. The trainers are incredibly knowledgeable and have an endless variety of moves and exercises. It is impossible to get bored with these guys! I love the accountability that having a trainer gives me…there is someone there to note my progress, push me when I don’t feel like working out, and change it up when I’m ready. I have been working one-on-one with Brandon for the last 2 1/2 months and can definitely feel my body transforming. I cannot tell you how pleased I am in the caliber of trainers that you now have at Fitness First.  Rachel Taylor is fantastic.  She is extremely knowledgeable and her experience has been a tremendous asset to me. I started working out at Fitness First about seven months ago as a way to lose some weight. I found the staff to be both helpful and knowledgeable.  I have always been one of those people who had no use for a gym – I didn't’t even like P.E. classes in school – and had no use for exercise, nutrition, or most other things that sounded vaguely healthy. But time catches up to us, and I needed to lose some weight.

About a month after joining, I started working out with Matt Immerman, first on an occasional basis, and then regularly. Matt is a total professional. He is able to make a session in the gym both purposeful and a positive experience. He has pushed me far beyond what I ever thought that I was capable of doing and has done it in a way that leaves me feeling at the end of each our sessions that I have accomplished something. Matt has taken the extra time and effort beyond our regularly scheduled session times to help me develop goals for my training and for the development of my body. He makes sure that I understand what we are doing in each exercise, what muscles are being affected and how.

I have lost fifty-three pounds, my body fat has decreased by a third, my waist size has decreased by eight inches, and I have never been stronger or felt better. More importantly, for the first time in my life, I look forward to going to the gym, I enjoy working out, and I am learning about good nutrition. Both my diabetes and my sleep apnea have disappeared, and I feel great.

Matt does not waste a client’s time with light “feel good” activity with no purpose; his workouts are solid, goal-oriented, and they produce results. He is willing to push your limits and is able to give you the encouragement and motivation to be able to pull it off and to enjoy the success of accomplishment.

I said that I used to hate exercise, nutrition, and healthy things. Now I have set a goal to be in good enough shape to run a half-marathon by May of 2013 – and I know that Matt will get me there. Matt Immerman is a superb personal trainer.

Earlier this year, I decided that it was time for my husband and me to get in shape.  So I walked into Fitness First to sign us up.  Now, we had both belonged to the gym before, but this time I had a plan that was going to make it work.  I was going to sign up to work out with a personal trainer.

After my first session with Lawrence, I was so sore the next day that it literally hurt to move.  After a while, that changed, even though he still pushes me harder than I think I can go every week.  Lawrence is the perfect personal trainer for me.  He is my coach and is constantly encouraging me, making me prove to myself that I can do one more rep, even when I don’t think I can.  He is my teacher, showing me exercises that I can do anytime, and giving me to confidence to try different machines that I wouldn’t use on my own.  He is my constant reminder that I need to get to the gym during the week, and that I need to be eating well.  His enthusiasm for what he does is contagious, and his passion for fitness and health makes me want to be healthier.
I still have a long road ahead of me to reach my goals, but I know that with Lawrence there to guide me along the way, I will reach them.
