Cycling at Fitness First
Group Cycling Cycling is a unique, indoor, group stationary program. The Cycling program brings the elements of athletic training to people of all ages and fitness levels, not just "hard-core," elite athletes. This efficient, high-energy group exercise integrates music, camaraderie and visualization in a complete mind-body exercise routine.
Cycling classes are among the most popular group exercises offered at Fitness First. Each 45 minute class (class length may vary) is taught by an instructor who leads the class through varying stationary cycling routines. The class provides a great cardio workout and plenty of motivation, not to mention great music.
Class schedules are updated (online) the first of each month at 12:01 am EST.
Bike Reservations
Reservations for classes are taken the day or night before, depending upon the whether the cycling class is a morning (AM) or afternoon/evening (PM) class. A reservation holds a bike in your name and ensures that each member has a bike to use for the class. Reservations will NOT be taken prior to the times listed below.
Because of the high demand for cycling classes, failure to arrive before a class starts may result in the forfeiture of your bike to another member. If you have reserved a bike but cannot make it to the class, please be considerate and cancel your reservation. This allows us to assign your bike to another member.
For AM Cycling Classes
Call the club you wish to attend after 7:00pm* (5:00pm on Sat & Sun) the night prior to the class and a front desk representative will reserve your bike for you.
*6:00pm for the following clubs: Flower Hill, Germantown, North Potomac, Olney, and Rockville.
For PM Cycling Classes
Call the club you wish to attend after 12:00pm, the day of the class and a front desk representative will reserve your bike for you.
